Beef Stroganoff for Two

Prep time: 15 minutes

The secret to eternal happiness? A big ‘ol bowlful of beef and noodles, in whatever form you prefer. Lo mein? Great. Bolognese? Wonderful. But for a little something different, dig into this beef stroganoff. We love how simple and delicious this one is, guaranteed you will be licking your plate clean :)

In your bag

  • Beef stroganoff & Deano’s fresh Mafaldine pasta
  • Chive sour cream

At home

  • Large pot, medium pot, and strainer

The Mafaldine:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil (the amount depends on how much water–we recommend a tablespoon per gallon). When ready, drop in the mafaldine, stir, and cook for 2-3 minutes. 
  2. Test a piece of pasta for doneness. (We like it al dente!)
  3. Reserve a ½ cup pasta water and strain. Set the pasta aside. 

The Stroganoff:

  1. Set the emptied pot back over medium and add in your stroganoff. Warm until lightly simmering, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add a splash of pasta water to adjust the consistency if you’d like. Taste and season with S&P as needed!

Grab a shallow bowl and add your mafaldine, then spoon over that saucy beef stroganoff. Dollop chive sour cream on top and dig in!

If freezing for later, toss your containers of pasta and stroganoff in the freezer– when you’re ready, let them thaw in the fridge for 24 hours and follow the steps above!
