Sesame Brown Butter Noodles with Shrimp

Prep time: 2-3 minutes (microwave) or 5-10 minutes stovetop

This fresh summer-worthy meal combines lo mein noodles (tossed with sesame oil) with thinly sliced veggies (napa cabbage, carrots, red onion) and shrimp that’s been seasoned with sesame & tamari. Paired with a brown butter miso sauce, plus Thai basil and cilantro on the side for garnishing!

In your bag

  • Sesame noodles
  • Shredded Napa cabbage, carrots & red onion
  • Sesame shrimp
  • Brown butter & miso sauce
  • Thai basil & cilantro

At home

  • Two microwave-safe bowls or a nonstick skillet

Option 1: Stovetop

  1. Pour sauce in a nonstick skillet over low heat for 1-2 minutes until just warmed. 
  2. Add the noodles and shrimp to the skillet. Mix until sauce coats the noodles and shrimp.

Option 2: Microwave

  1. Pour the brown butter miso sauce into a microwave-safe bowl. Cover with a paper towel and microwave in 10 second increments until the sauce is warm.
  2. In another microwave-safe bowl, add the noodles and the shrimp. Cover with a damp paper and microwave until hot. 
  3. Pour the sauce over the shrimp and noodles and mix together.
