Steak Frites!

Prep time: 15-19 minutes

It’s steak night! But you don’t have to fire up the grill... Unless you want to ;) Our steak frites dinner features hanger steak (marinated in garlic, shallots, thyme, parsley) with shallot lemon-chive butter for adding on top. Paired with steak fries & a Little Leaf side salad with champagne vinaigrette for a simple but perfect plate!

In your bag

  • Marinated hanger steak
  • Thick-cut steak fries
  • Shallot lemon chive butter
  • Little Leaf side salad with champagne vinaigrette

At home

  • 2 lightly greased foil-lined sheet trays
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Mixing bowl

The Steak, Fries, and Butter:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Remove the butter from the fridge and set on the counter to soften while you heat the rest of your meal.
  • Brush a little oil on your foil-lined sheet tray and place your hanger steak on one side.
  • Pop the tray into the oven for 10-12 minutes or until heated to your liking.
  • Carefully remove the tray and move your steak to a cutting board to rest for a few minutes. Add a few dollops of shallot lemon chive butter to the top now to let it melt into the steak while it’s resting, but save some for plating too!
  • Place your fries on a new lightly greased foil lined sheet tray. Bake for 5-7 minutes while your steak rests or until warmed to your liking.
  • Once rested, cut your steak into half-inch thick slices, cutting against the grain.

The Salad 

  1. Add greens to a mixing bowl, drizzle in vinaigrette, and toss!

Add your sliced steak to a plate and add any extra shallot-lemon chive butter to the top. Arrange fries next to the steak, and salad goes on the side. Enjoy!
