Sweet Potato Pierogies

Sweet Potato Pierogies

October 11, 2024

Prep time: 5 Minutes

Just in time for Oktoberfest!

These dreamy pierogies (scratch-made by MA based Jaju Pierogi) are filled with roasted sweet potatoes and slowly caramelized onions, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

We’re pairing them with our homemade apple and onion chutney, plus a chive sour cream for dolloping on top. Enjoy these as a light dinner (maybe paired with a salad or green veggie), or grab some to share for a quick pre-dinner appetizer!

Each order contains 6 pierogies.

In your bag

  • Sweet potato & caramelized onion pierogies
  • Apple & red onion chutney
  • Chive sour cream

At home

  • Saute pan with a fitted lid
  • A little oil
  • Tongs or a spatula
  • 2 tbsp water
  • microwave-safe bowl
  • damp paper towel

Microwave option:

  1. Add pierogies to a microwave-safe dish, cover with a damp paper towel, and microwave until heated to your liking.

Stovetop option:

  1. Set a saute pan over medium heat. Pour in a little oil and let it heat up for a minute or so.
  2. Add the pierogies and pan fry them for 1-2 minutes until warm, but keep an eye not to burn them!
  3. Once warmed to your liking, pour 2 tbsp of water into the pan and immediately cover with the lid. Let them steam for 2-3 minutes or until the water has evaporated and the pierogies  are hot. You can add another splash if you feel they need more time but again, keep an eye not to burn them!
  4. Once done, carefully move the pan off the burner and let it sit for a minute covered.

Plate up your pierogies with a dollop of sour cream and a scoop of apple & onion chutney. Prost!

That’s it! #Dinnersolved, dinner served.
