So we completely dropped the ball. The Ides of March were last month and we forgot to add Caesar salad to the menu. Nooooo! What an epic missed opportunity to align salad with history! Well, here we are, three weeks later, bringing you a salad that actually has no connection to the Roman dude himself (it was invented years ago by a guy named Caesar in Tijuana, Mexico) on this fine April Monday. History aside, this sensational salad is ready for flipping, and is flipping delicious. It’s a big bowl of “comfort salad” as we like to call it, so big that you might need to save leftovers for lunch tomorrow. But hey, there’s no harm in taking your time, Rome wasn’t built in a day ;P
Total prep time: 1 minute
What’s in your bag:
- Bowl of greens & fixins
- Caesar dressing
What you’ll need from home:
- Salt and pepper
- A mixing bowl
How to prep:
- Remove the containers of dressing and fixins from the bowl, and get ready for some flippage.
- In one swift motion, invert your salad into the mixing bowl. Ta da!
- Smother in your Caesar dressing until coated. Top with your fried shallots and Parm, season to taste, and toss!
That’s it! Dinner solved, dinner served. #weareWECO
