Et tu, Brute? Wait, hold up, the Caesar salad has nothing to do with Julius Caesar? You best believe it, and you heard it here first. The Caesar salad was invented in 1924 in Tijuana, Mexico by a man named Caesar Cardini. He may not have ruled the Roman empire, but for inventing this crowd pleaser, he deserves more credit. Regardless of the salad’s origins, we want you to know that you’ve got an A+ version right here (with an A+ method for prep). Homemade creamy dressing, romaine + iceberg lettuce for days, Tuscan marinated roasted chicken, and a little garnish of red onion, fried shallot, and tomato to WECO-ize it. Thanks to Mr. Cardini for the inspo, we’ll take it from here! 😉
