Happy Wednesday Fam! Tonight we are going to try a little mindful eating if you’re down for the challenge. The premise is this, slow down for a moment and focus on your tasty eats. This is called the “Raisin Meditation” which can be found online, credits to the mindfulness expert Jon Kabat-Zinn. Start by holding your bowl in your hands, and feel the weight of the food in there. See the curls of the shrimp, the slices of papaya, and the intricacies of the frisee. Touch (with your fork if you don’t want your hands dirty!) the smooth long beans, smell the citrusy chili lime dressing, and place a bite in your mouth. Taste the flavors of your bowl, swallow your first bite, and follow the amazing feeling after it’s all gone! D@mn, how do you feel now? Like a brand new person? If you’re in a rush tonight try this another time, it’s worth a shot 🙂
