So first off, the most important thing: these adorable little flourless chocolate cakes deserve to be enjoyed warm. Trust us on that. Please! We beg of you! The microwave, just for a brief few seconds, makes the inside all melty and gooey and soft. We tried the oven for these, but to be honest, it just didn’t do it for us. The microwave is a far superior reheating method for this cake duo, and with the creme anglaise drizzled on top, it’s a (literal) piece of cake to prepare! Creme anglaise is kind of like if a custard and a melted vanilla ice cream had a baby. Does that make sense? It’s light, liquidy, sweet, and just the right consistency to contrast the warm cake. We’re thinking spoon for this, but fork it, use your hands if you need to!
