Steak Gyro

Well Fam, this gyro (pronounced YEE-roh!) is truly the epitome of versatility. You can pile your flatbread high with all the toppings and enjoy open-faced sandwich-style, or you can opt to plate it up as a spread. Dip your steak + flatbread in mountains of baba ganoush and tzatziki while enjoying bites of toasted farro on the side. It’s totally up to you– the more creative the better! We know, we know! Our parents told us not to play with our food but in our opinion, the more fun you have with your food… the better it tastes 🙂 Permission to play, Fam!

What’s in your bag:

  • Shaved sirloin steak
  • Dill + lemon tzatziki
  • Smoked eggplant baba ganoush
  • Cucumber + cherry tomato salad
  • Toasted farro
  • Flatbread

What you’ll need from home:

  • Aluminum foil-lined sheet tray
  • Olive oil
  • Microwave-safe bowl (For farro option 1)
  • Non-stick pan (For farro option 2)

Total prep time: 10-15 minutes

The Steak

  1. Preheat your oven to 350F.
  2. Drizzle a little bit of olive oil onto your sheet tray and lay the steak out evenly. Leave room for the flatbread if you’re heating the flatbread in the oven.
  3. Heat for around 10-12 minutes or until warmed through.

The Flatbread

  1. Place your flatbread on your sheet tray with 3-4 minutes left on your steak timer. Take out when steak is done.

The Farro

Option 1:

  1. Place your farro in a microwave safe bowl, cover with a damp paper towel, and heat for 1-2 minutes or until hot

Option 2:

  1. Drizzle a liiiiiittle bit of olive oil in a non-stick pan and turn your burner on to medium heat.
  2. When the oil is glistening, toss the farro in, stir, and heat for 3-5 minutes or until warmed through.

The Cucumber + Tomato Salad, Baba Ganoush, and Tzatziki

  1. Best served cold or at room temp!

Grab a plate and assemble your gyro! Make it a sandwich, make it a plate, make it a combo of the two… just make it disappear 😉

That’s it! #Dinnersolved, dinner served.
