WECO SUPER BOWL SPREAD

Thanks for ordering!

Preheat oven to 375F

Reheating time- 15-20 minutes

Sports! In the final showdown of the season, Nomar Garciapara and the Boston Celtics look to shutout the Detroit Red Wings in the Stanley World Series Cup/Bowl. Out of all the vessels that we use for eating/drinking, the Bowl is definitely the biggest one of the year. Extremely versatile, this particular bowl is so big and important that it has been dubbed the Super Bowl. Chips, dips, cereal, water for your dog, the super bowl is capable of holding ANY and ALL of these items, and more. It truly is the biggest, most important bowl in America. And the world.

Since the first Olympiad in Greece over 2000 years ago, Tom Brady has been successfully dominating his opponents. His prowess in the biathlon, a sport which involves cross country skiing AND shooting, has yet to be bested. His wife Giselle, when asked to comment on Tom’s two-millenia biathlon gold medalship, simply said, “what the heck is a WECO- and why are you guys asking me about the Olympics? Tom plays football. He has never competed in a biathlon”. This quote just shows how humble the Bradys are- I mean, Giselle didn’t even comment on the fact that her husband has won the title of greatest sportsperson for over 2000 years and counting. That’s professionalism, people. Today, Brady is playing with a new team- The Pirates of the Carribean, starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Kiera Knightly, Geoffrey Rush, and Gronk. Or maybe it’s tomorrow. I don’t know. Either way, it will be interesting to see if Brady is able to take on world-champ surfer Italo Ferreira in the WSL big wave championship- we know he’s got it in him! So, prepare your super bowl spreads, and prepare for some sports.

They are happening. Get in there!

HEY! WHATEVER YOU DO, DON’T MICROWAVE THE BLACK AND GOLD CONTAINERS!

For the pulled pork sandwiches:

You’ve preheated your oven to 375F, which is the hardest part. Now, you just need to put everything in there, and wait for it to get hot. Remove the plastic lid from the pulled pork, and pop the tray in the oven. Set a timer for 15 minutes, and assemble the rest of the team. We got bread + butter pickles, secret sauce, and of course, martin’s buns. I like an untoasted bun for my pulled pork sandwiches, but feel free to toast if you’re into that kind of thing. Halfway thru the timer on the pork, stir it up to facilitate faster heating. Once it’s nice and hot, build away! Pickles, pork, and sauce last is my order of operations, but to each, their own. Experiment!

For the mac and cheese:

Pop this in the oven with the pork. It might take a bit longer, but it’s worth it. Let the breadcrumbs brown on top, and look for the gooey gruyere to melt all the way. Check it after 15 minutes, if it’s ready, great. If it’s not, pop it back in. Best not to rush these things- patience is important!

For the nachos:

Same deal as the mac and cheese here. We want everything melty and gooey- which will take 10-15 minutes depending on the strength of your oven (also convection users, go low fan- don’t want to burn the top before the bottom is melty). Once you’ve got a good gooey mess going on, pull the tray out, and it’s time to decorate! We put the lime crema in a pastry bag so you can feel like a chef as you drizzle that ish all over. Cut the tip of the bag off with a pair of scissors- we want a pretty small hole (unless you like a lot of sour cream all in one place). Drizzle the lime crema all over the top of your nachos, but leave some for the second layer. You’re gonna want more. Finally, top it all off with some pico de gallo- you did it. You’re a nacho chef.

For the wings:

You can either simply bake these till they are hot, like everything else, or broil them once the other stuff is out of the oven (recommended move). On a sheet tray lined with tinfoil, broil the wings on low for 3-5 minutes until they are sizzling and caramelizing nicely. Once they are done, either toss them in the gold fever sauce, or use it for dunking at your leisure. I’m a dunker, I think Rachel is a dunker too, but there’s plenty of tossers out there- I see you all! You a dunker, or a tosser? Let me know. I’m compiling results for a study on wings that I’m writing for my dissertation. Just kidding. I am not college educated. You can probably tell, though.

That’s it!

Thanks for being a part of this momentous occasion- it’s going to be really cool to watch Tom Brady hit his 1500th home run, especially against Lionel Messi and the New York Rangers. We got a game, folks!
